Cadets Dan Garlick and Charlotte Wilkinson-Burnett were this week promoted to Flight Sergeant and Sergeant, respectively. Becoming a milestone for new Officer Commanding, Pilot Officer Andy Houghton, as these were his first promotions as OC.

Both Cadets joined 1181 (Syston) Squadron in April 2005 and have both been succesfull in the vast variety of activities the Corps has to offer. In their five years with the Squadron both have successfully participated in the Gliding Scholarship Scheme, a variety of different sporting events and visited numerous RAF bases around Europe, during camps abroad.

The promotions shall see Flight Sergeant Garlick continue his role as Squadron Senior Cadet NCO with Sergeant Wilkinson-Burnett becoming second in command and in charge of Junior Cadet training.
